A styled shoot at Homestead Modern No. 1 was featured on Green Wedding Shoes.

"If you, like us, are in love with that modern-desert vibe, you’re going to pretty much flip for today’s stunning editorial feature. Planned + styled by our girl, Rachael, of Lace and Likes and hosted at Homestead Modern No. 1 in Pioneertown, California by, sponsored by our friends at The Venue Report, this shoot encapsulates all the best things about the wildly beautiful desert. Rachael’s main inspiration for the setting was to utilize the surrounding areas of Homestead for her color palette + tabletop elements. She tells us, 'I just wanted the shoot to be inspired by the house and desert and my main focus was to incorporate as many natural elements as possible.'"

"Talk about home on the modern high desert range! Pack up your pals and head to Pioneertown, built by the Hollywood studios after World War II and today is known as much for its spectacular high desert scenery and noted musical roadhouse Pappy & Harriet’s (walkable from this modern marvel) as it is for its movie and TV heritage. Small in square footage but expansive in its high desert design for your most special of special weekends away."

"We ended up going back to the high desert for a couple days for a last minute photo shoot. This time we got to stay at Homestead Modern No. 1. It’s by the same people as Rock Reach House but it’s a bit different. This place has a main house, a casita, and a remodeled trailer. And it’s walking distance from Pappy & Harriet’s so that is a big plus. And I still can’t get over these starry desert nights. We did a little shopping at some antique stores and one of our favorite vintage shops The End and then headed to the house for a jacuzzi and snooze."

"While in Joshua Tree we hung around the beautiful Homestead Modern No 1, made s’mores by the fire and took these photos wearing the new Alexa Chung for AG Jeans collection. I loved the comfort and the effortlessness of everything – cotton tees, cropped flares and suede accents. We had a great time styling it."

"In the middle of the desert, who would expect a mixture of rust-covered welded metal and concrete to serve as a beautiful modern oasis? Certainly not me, but heck, I was proved wrong: Homestead Modern No. 1 is exactly that and happens to be where I spent the weekend away."
